Information about Roquebrune sur Argens 

Roquebrune sur Argens consists of three parts. The beautiful medieval village is virtually car-free and consists of many alleys and steps. Here you can find nice shops, some museums and restaurants. The church of Roquebrune sur Argens is also worth a look. 

Around Roquebrune sur Argens grapes are grown, beekeepers are active and various other products are produced. All these locally grown products are offered for sale in a village shop. It smells wonderful here. 

If you are on holiday in France with children, you should definitely visit the Maison du Patrimoine. A small historical museum that is also fun for children with old stones and medieval objects that all come from the area. There are regular special themed exhibitions, for example about knights and damsels. 

In the area you can take a very nice walk, for example in three hours (return) to the top of the rock. This walk is not possible in July and August because several paths are closed due to the risk of fire. At the tourism office in the village they can tell you exactly what options are available and when. Another option to be active is water sports on the river Argens or on the lake Lac d'Arena. Go for a swim or cycle around on a water bike. Or 15 km away are the sandy beaches of Frejus and Saint Aygulf to enjoy the sea.
